Overview

Learn how to configure Bondy to match your particular needs. The following reference material covers everything from single node to multi-node cluster deployments.

Getting Started

Configuration Basics

Learn about the Bondy runtime configuration, the Bondy configuration file, its syntax, variable replacement and the required OS-specific configuration.

Quickstart Configuration

The minimal configuration you must do for a quick start.

Node & Storage

Node

Configure the nodename, platform paths and Erlang VM parameters.

Shutdown

The shutdown sequence, and how long a node waits for clients to leave.

Data Storage & Active Anti-entropy

Sharding, placement, pack-store durability, and anti-entropy sync for the db.* configuration surface.

Reclamation

Configure deletion reclamation and origin retirement for the storage layer.

Networking

Network Listeners

Configure the network listeners for the different protocols and gateways.

WAMP Features

Configure several WAMP features like URI strictness, RPC timeouts and message retention.

HTTP Security Headers

Configure CORS, HSTS, X-Frame-Options, CSP, and other HTTP security response headers per listener.

Security

Security

Anonymous access, password and ticket policy, OAuth2, realm signing keys and rate limiting.

Certificate Manager

Configure the CA trust store, server certificate rotation, and mTLS settings.

Clustering & Edge

Cluster

Cluster listeners, automatic peer discovery, and the performance options that govern cluster formation.

Bridge Relay (Edge)

Configure a Bondy Edge connection to a remote router, and the procedures and topics the two share.

Gateways & Bridges

MCP Gateway

The per-listener MCP edge keys and the node-global manifest, continuation and upstream settings.

HTTP Connector

Configure WAMP-to-HTTP service bridges with authentication, connection pools, and secret management.

Mail

Declare SMTP relays: endpoint, TLS, credentials, which realms may send and as whom.

Broker Bridge

The supervised subscribers that re-publish WAMP events to an external system, and the JSON specification that declares them.

Kafka Bridge

Forward WAMP events to Kafka topics, with Mops expressions mapping event to message.

Operations

Overload Protection

Load-monitor watermarks and the admission gates that keep a node responsive when work arrives faster than it can be performed.

Telemetry

Distributed tracing: OTLP span export and trace-context minting.
